I start 2017 making a dream come true: I show you today my interpretation at the Aurora Wings challenge blog as guest designer, for the first challenge of the year "Asian inspired". I felt so honored being asked for design something for this wonderful artist, that I really love, and being in her blog with her talented design team.
My project is a cover for a notebook. I always worked with covers as if they were canvas, and made the holes with my binder after finished them. Keeping this in mind, I had to work with the idea that one day, I will have holes at the left and I had to leave a margin for that.
In this project I have used some papers from Graphic 45, "Dearest darling", and "True love", and two beautiful images from Aurora, Orchid border and Cherry Petal Storm. I loved to work with layers of paper, Scrapiniec chipboard, laces, and die cuts from spellbinders dies.
I used some touches of mixed media products for this projec, as clear gesso, acrylic paint, stencils, embossing paste and gel medium to add some green micro beads, too. I love the magic of some touch of scrapbooking alchemy.
You can see the copic colors I used for both digis in the next photo. They are coordinated with the paterned paper "dearest darling". I love the violet eyes combo I used (V17-V15) now. I will use it again ASAP! For the dark hair I used W9-N6-BV23.
